How-to video: Request employee sign-off

Watch a tutorial of our sign-off feature that allows you to request employees acknowledge their job description

Compliance management is important for the success of any organization. One proactive strategy is to request that employees sign off on their job descriptions. In this video, we’ll show you how to easily implement this step using CompetencyCore.

  • To get started, click the gear icon on the top right of your screen.
  • Click Settings at the bottom of the list in the Administration menu.
  • Under CompetencyCore, select Jobs.
  • Turn on the Employee sign-off setting.
  • Select the number of days you want to give employees to sign-off.
  • If you want to include a legal disclaimer, add it as a content document.

Now that sign-off is turned on, you can start sending out requests. First, make sure you’ve already imported accounts for your organization.

Now, if you navigate to the Users page under Organization in the Administration menu, you’ll see the option to send sign-off requests in bulk as well as send reminders.

You can also request sign-off individually from a job description. Open a job, click the Employees tab, and click Sign-Off. Then select Request Sign-Off in the drop-down. The employee can review their job requirements, read the disclaimer, and click Sign Off to acknowledge that they understand the requirements.

We know that in today’s fast-paced world, jobs can change frequently. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Each time you update a job description, you can choose to request sign-off again, so employees know exactly what’s expected of them.

Once an employee signs off, you can download a PDF of the acknowledged job description. All signed off job descriptions are stored in a job’s history, so you can demonstrate compliance with built-in documentation.
