Removal of support for Internet Explorer

CompetencyCore will no longer officially support Internet Explorer 11 after August 1st 2019.

How will this affect me?

If you're currently using CompetencyCore in Internet Explorer, you'll still be able to access your site after August 1st. However, we'll no longer be fixing bugs and display issues specific to IE 11, so you might run into problems with new functionality.

Why is support being removed?

New web standards are not supported by Internet Explorer. Compared with modern browsers, IE is not as fast, secure, or compatible with new web apps. Microsoft recommends using Edge on Windows devices, so IE doesn't receive the same regular improvements as other browsers. We're removing support so we can focus on delivering new features to the browsers used by the majority of our clients. 

What do I need to do?

We recommend switching to Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox to ensure an optimal user experience in CompetencyCore.
