Understanding PDF reports
Cover Page
Displays the Report logo, the assessment name, the subject name, and the date and time the report was downloaded.
Table of Contents
Lists all of the sections with the corresponding page numbers. Competencies included in the Competency Detail section are also listed here.
Report Introduction
Only appears if a content document was selected when the assessment was created. We offer a default that can be selected, or you can create your own.
Rating Scale Detail
Displays the Effectiveness scale (or another scale assigned to questions) for in-depth assessments. This section does not apply to snapshot assessments because the scale used is always the proficiency scale of the competencies.
Competency Group Summary
Displays bar charts summarizing the responses by participant group for each group of competencies. These are either library groups or core, job family, and job specific. The view for this section is set site-wide in settings.
Competency Overview
Displays a table providing an overview of the results. For each competency, the average score for each participant group is shown.
Strengths to Build On
Displays a bar chart with the response of each participant (or the average response if there’s more than one participant in a group) for each competency rated at or above target by the scoring authority. The maximum number of competencies labelled as strengths to build on is set in settings.
Competencies for Development
Displays a bar chart with the response of each participant (or the average response if there’s more than one participant in a group) for each competency rated below target by the scoring authority. The maximum number of competencies labelled as competencies for development is set in settings.
Competency Summary
Displays a bar chart with the response of each participant (or the average response if there’s more than one participant in a group) for each competency being assessed.
Competency Detail
Presents the breakdown of scores for each question within each competency assessed. These scores can be used to identify specific strengths or gaps.
In-depth assessments: Displays the competency name, definition, and proficiency level being assessed. This is followed by a bar chart for each question. The scale on these charts is the scale used to respond to questions, not the proficiency scale on a competency. All of the bar charts under one heading are assessing a specific proficiency level on a competency.
Snapshot assessments: Displays a bar chart for each competency followed by the target and average proficiency level (with behavioural indicators listed) selected by each participant group. In snapshot assessments, the scale on the bar chart is the proficiency level scale.
General Assessment Questions
Questions not associated to competencies are listed along with the response of each participant.
Learning Resources
Resources associated to the competencies rated below target are suggested. Only resources from the selected resource types (set when the assessment was created or in settings) are suggested. The number of resources suggested per resource type is set in settings.
Report Conclusion
Only appears if a content document was selected when the assessment was created. We offer a default that can be selected or you can create your own.
